With nearly three decades of continuous growth and no signs of slowing down, Hansen & Adkins Auto Transport, Inc. ("H&A") is dedicated to providing high-quality, cost-effective vehicle transportation and related services; with a strong commitment to safety, customer success, innovation, and reliability. Founded in 1994 by industry veterans Steve Hansen and Louie Adkins, the Company has grown from just 3 haulers to over 1,000 haulers, earning numerous industry awards along the way. H&A is currently serving 16 major auto manufacturers nationwide and in Canada.
The Area Manager will be responsible for daily operations and oversight of processes with timely completion of objectives with their respective operating locations. This role will ensure success of meeting customers and Company KPI's in operation efficiency, productivity, damage prevention, Safety and Risk with interface with all company department leads. The Area Manager will be accountable to managing procedures and coaching their subordinates through daily tasks completion, growth, and their ultimate success.
Job Requirements
Responsibilities:
Establish action plans that coordinate the daily dispatch and logistics to maintain inventory levels for most efficient movement of product and drive improvement in customer service.
Enforce DOT compliance and manage prevention efforts in collision, injury, and damage frequencies.
Prepare, distribute progress reporting and create actions of company and customer KPI's pertaining to all aspects of the operations that will support improvements to our business.
Decrease empty miles through backhauls of remarketing vehicles and efficient logistics of moving trucks.
Accountability for all staff objectives by outlining a clear direction to complete daily tasks and achieve company goals.
Build and maintain customer relations with department heads, manufacturer, facility/ railroad management, dealers and all other external partners or vendors to gain trust and respect.
Communicate with Maintenance on equipment assignment and prioritization, service schedules, equipment repairs and use of outside vendors.
Collaborate with Recruiting to maintain a sufficient driver fleet and maintain retention percentage aligned with company standards.
Qualifications:
At least 5 years of supervisory experience in the transportation industry.
Bachelor or associate's degree of Business- related field preferred but not required.
Must be proficient with computer programs such as Excel, Word, Power Point, and additional industry software experience are preferred.
Proven ability to plan and manage operation process in previous job experiences.
Demonstrate the ability to solve problems and anticipate customer needs.
