Salary Range:ย $128,430 - $142,700

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, develop, and organize all terminal operating activities and required supporting programs to achieve the safest most efficient, economical operations consistent with safety, quality, and customer service.
  • Develop and supervise Terminal Trainmasters and TY&E employees.
  • Develop short and long term plans to improve mainline train and yard switching operations.
  • Ensure compliance with BNSF's equal employment policies, safety and operating rules, schedule agreements, and Government regulations.
  • Interface with various work groups to continually meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Hold investigations and recommend discipline.
  • Develop continuous improvement processes to assist with controlling costs to meet budget goals.
  • Assist in the development and execution of the Terminal Safety Action Plan to ensure a safe and efficient operation.
  • Assist in investigations of train accidents and injury reporting.
  • Position may be subject to on call status and/or work shifts, holidays and weekends.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior terminal operations experience is required
  • Supervisory experience is required
  • Proven team leader
  • Must possess an extensive knowledge of operating rules and schedule agreements applicable to the TY&E crafts
  • Individual must also possess leadership and organizational skills as well as excellent working knowledge of day-to-day railroad operations and practices
  • Must also possess strong TSS Xpress system knowledge
