We create more efficient ways for shippers and carriers to transport goods across North America.
As a Supervisor, Managed Transportation Operations at RXO, you'll be responsible for leading the day-to-day transportation operations for a dedicated managed transportation account. You'll oversee operational execution, carrier performance, customer service, and employee development while ensuring transportation solutions consistently meet or exceed customer expectations. You'll work closely with internal teams, customers, and carrier partners to resolve operational challenges, drive continuous improvement, and ensure service, cost, and quality objectives are achieved.
What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Serve as the primary escalation point for customer, carrier, and operational issues, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication.
  • Monitor carrier performance, identify service trends, and partner with internal and external stakeholders to implement corrective actions.
  • Investigate operational issues impacting customer satisfaction, supplier performance, and team productivity while driving sustainable solutions.
  • Practice continuous improvement by reviewing processes, identifying efficiencies, and implementing Lean principles to improve service, reduce cost, and eliminate waste.

  • Review and prioritize customer escalations, supplier disputes, and service failures while ensuring appropriate follow-up and documentation.
  • Track transportation performance, analyze service metrics, identify root causes for performance gaps, and implement action plans to improve results.
  • Maintain accurate operational documentation, reporting, and transportation records.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful work environment while ensuring company policies and procedures are consistently followed.

At a minimum, you'll need:

  • Experience in managing carrier relationships and transportation performance.
  • Experience leading process improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret transportation performance metrics and identify trends.
