Job description

TranSource Truck & Equipment, Inc. is a growing company representing Mack Trucks and Volvo Construction Equipment, along with being the Servicing Dealer for multiple other product lines that support the On Highway, Construction and Agriculture Industry.

Due to growth, we are currently looking to hire Diesel Technicians for our Sioux Falls location.

Technicians must be able to:

  • Perform routine inspections, maintenance and repairs on various types of equipment, including but not limited to machinery, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems;
  • Carrying out necessary repairs and conducting more complex repairs to ensure proper functioning;
  • Troubleshooting and analyzing issues reported by drivers or operators, and providing effect solutions to address the problems;
  • Respond promptly to customer needs in a positive, supportive and timely manner to ensure maximum value for work performed;
  • Communicate job progress to supervisor and customer as needed;
  • Complete service reports, order parts and maintain clear customer records;
  • Field Technicians will be going out to service calls.

Qualifications:

  • Two-year technical degree and/or equivalent job experience in any of the above fields.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, transmissions, undercarriage, track systems and components, pneumatic, electrical and fuel systems.
  • Previous experience working on Volvo equipment is a plus, but not required.
  • Excellent diagnostic and trouble-shooting skills.
  • Positive attitude and desire to provide outstanding customer service.
  • Computer, written and verbal communication skills.
