Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Director of Global Logistics to join the Global Operations team. The Global Operations team will oversee and lead the implementation of manufacturing, distribution logistics, sourcing, and supply chain activities. We will build, create, and enhance end-to-end operation strategies, processes, analytics, technology, and continuous improvement efforts.

As the Director of Global Logistics, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the entire logistics operation on a global scale. This role ensures that the movement, distribution, and storage of products and materials are efficient, cost-effective, and compliant with international regulations. This position will lead a team of logistics professionals, develop strategic plans, and implement best practices to optimize supply chain performance and enhance customer satisfaction.

This position reports to the Chief Supply Chain Officer and is based out of Carlsbad, Irvine, Rantoul, IL or Stockton, CA.

As the Director of Global Logistics, you will have an opportunity to:

  • Develop and implement global logistics strategies aligned with corporate objectives.

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the global logistics team to ensure high performance and professional growth.

  • Collaborate with other departments such as sales, marketing, and production to ensure seamless operations.

  • Oversee the end-to-end global logistics process, including transportation, and 3rd party warehousing & distribution, consolidation centers, and transloading.

  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and industry standards.

  • Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

  • Negotiate with global and regional logistics suppliers to deliver cost and service requirements.

  • Manage Revelyst contracts for Parcel, Ocean, LTL Full truck load, etc.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers.

  • Evaluate and select logistics partners based on performance, reliability, and strategic fit.

  • Develop and manage the logistics budget, ensuring cost control and efficient resource allocation.

  • Conduct financial analysis to assess logistics costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.

  • Prepare and present reports on logistics performance, costs, and trends to senior management.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance logistics efficiency, accuracy, and speed.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, advancements in technology, and best practices in logistics management.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the logistics team.

You have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.

  • 12+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain management.

  • 7+ years in a leadership role. Prefer a background with consumer goods logistics.

  • Strong knowledge of global logistics operations, international trade regulations, and customs procedures.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans, manage budgets, and achieve operational goals.

  • Proficiency in logistics software and tools, such as ERP and TMS systems.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.

Pay Range:

Annual Salary: $175,000.00 - $200,000.00

The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
