Description
The Track & Trace Coordinator plays a key role in daily transportation operations, ensuring shipments are monitored, updated, and communicated accurately and efficiently. This position supports both customers and carrier partners by providing timely updates, resolving issues in transit, and maintaining accurate load data within the company's transportation management system (TMS).
Requirements
  • Track and monitor all active shipments from pickup through delivery, ensuring on-time performance.
  • Communicate regularly with carriers and drivers to obtain location updates, estimated arrival times, and status changes.
  • Dispatch loads to carriers or drivers as assigned, ensuring all load details and instructions are clearly communicated.
  • Enter and maintain accurate data in the company TMS, including check calls, appointment times, and proof-of-delivery details.
  • Identify and escalate issues such as delays, service failures, or accessorial needs to the operations or customer service team promptly.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (sales, carrier sales, and customer service) to ensure customers are informed of shipment progress or potential disruptions.
  • Verify documentation including bills of lading, rate confirmations, and delivery receipts as needed.

  • Prior experience in logistics, dispatch, or transportation operations preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • High attention to detail with excellent data entry and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with TMS systems, Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
