This role is an in-office position located in Monterey, CA.
Responsibilities include:
  • Foster and expand relationships across customer supply chain departments, collaborating with Vektor team, as well as trade partners to develop new opportunities.
  • Drive market share expansion by actively managing an opportunity pipeline and qualification process, leveraging internal/external data and collaborating across Vektor internal resources.
  • Conduct regular business reviews to gain customer insights and identify growth opportunities, cultivate relationships, and drive new growth.
  • Analyze and share customer-specific data (KPI's, Shipping Outlook, Organizational Updates, etc.) with internal teams to collaboratively create the best possible solutions and outcomes for our customers.
  • Own account strategy, including Requests for Quotes (RFQ's) and managing awarded business, while proactively managing customer pricing strategy and pursuing personal development opportunities.
  • Manage conflict with customers diplomatically and act as their advocate internally, ensuring alignment and prioritization of resources for exceptional service delivery.
  • Target continuous improvement for customers, collaborating with internal teams to identify creative solutions and ensure optimal execution through SOPs and mutually agreed customer KPIs.
  • Review financial results and drive account health through proactive financial analysis and process improvement initiatives.
  • Manage "life of a load" activities and ensure accuracy in operating systems, including order communication flow, service failures, track & trace, pricing exceptions, etc.

Requirements
• 2 years of successful B2B sales/account management, including lead generation experience.
• Prior experience selling logsitics & transportation services in any of the following arenas: CPG, Retail, Fresh Food
• Must maintain a self-motivated and relentless work ethic while displaying a strong attention-to-detail.
• Entrepreneurial and sales-minded mentality with tenacity to never settle and thrive in a competitive environment
• Proven problem solving and critical thinking ability
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills - proposal and presentation skills a must
• Ability to travel up to 20% based on customer and team needs
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
