Job description

Job Summary
Manages the Intermodal business unit with an account portfolio of over approximately $200 million, primarily focused on large National intermodal shippers.
Primary Activities and Responsibilities

  • Design, market, sell and manage CSX Transportation (CSXT) services to several Private Asset and National BCO Shipper accounts across the U.S..
  • Create and execute strategic growth account plans for customers.
  • Lead and strengthen business relationships within CSXT and customer organizations while pushing each for improved performance or increased business levels.
  • Negotiate and close large, complex commercial proposals in conjunction with all relevant CSX groups including Marketing, Service Design, Operations, Customer Service, Industrial Development, etc.
  • Lead and develop improved service plans with customer and appropriate CSX groups, including Service Design, Operations, and Customer Service.
  • Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree/4-year Degree
  • 5 or more years of experience in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, Business/Strategic Management, Sales, Account Management, Marketing, or Finance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate Degree
  • 3 or more years of experience in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, Business/Strategic Management, Sales, Account Management, Marketing, or Finance
