Urgent Care Physician - Transition into Emergency Medicine | Training Track - Phoenix, AZ

Instinctive Healthcare Solutions

Fountain Hills, AZ โ€ข On-site

$2.3K - $2.5K/day

Contractor

Job description

Your urgent care experience is the foundation. We built the bridge.

We are a physician-led emergency medicine group in the Phoenix, Arizona metro area with a structured training track designed for urgent care physicians transitioning into lower-volume, concierge-like emergency medicine practice. If youโ€™re board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine and ready for higher acuity, broader scope, and significantly higher earning potential โ€” this is the path. We operate two modern freestanding ER locations today โ€” El Mirage and Fountain Hills โ€” with two more opening in the next 12 months: a new ER in Tempe and a micro-hospital in Central Phoenix.

The Transition Track

  • Work alongside and learn from board-certified Emergency Medicine physicians in a supportive, mentorship-driven environment
  • At 18โ€“24 total patients per day, our low-volume freestanding EDs are the ideal setting to build emergency skills step by step โ€” the acuity of an ER without the chaos of a high-volume hospital department
  • Full on-site diagnostics โ€” CT, X-ray, ultrasound, EKG, lab โ€” and full resuscitation capability: everything your urgent care doesnโ€™t have, with a team to teach you how to use it

Practice Overview & Culture

  • Excellent patient satisfaction: 4.8 Google rating across 5,000+ patient reviews
  • Full support staff; collegial, team-oriented culture with a strong emphasis on collaboration and professionalism

Compensation (1099 Independent Contractor) โ€” $350,000โ€“$390,000+

  • Day shifts: $2,300 Night shifts: $2,500
  • Work 13+ shifts/month and rates increase retroactively across all shifts that month: Day $2,500 Night $2,800
  • Observation patients: $150 per patient (typically 1โ€“2 per shift)
  • Physicians working 13 shifts/month with benefits are earning $390,000 and up โ€” plus benefits on top

Benefits (12+ shifts/month)

  • Paid employee health benefits, with discounted family coverage
  • Malpractice included: $1M/$3M claims-made policy with tail coverage provided
  • Full-time benefits stipend

Why Join Us

Fewer, longer shifts than clinic life โ€” 12-hour shifts, minimum 12 per month for full-time โ€” in a physician-led group where clinical decisions are made by doctors. All in one of the fastest-growing metros in the country: year-round sunshine, world-class golf and outdoor recreation, vibrant dining and arts, and major professional sports.

Start date: ASAP. Apply today through DocCafe โ€” weโ€™d love to talk.
