Job description

Title: Transit Data Analyst
Location: NYC NY
On-site/Remote/Hybrid: Onsite

The role requires exceptional attention to detail, critical thinking, and strong source evaluation skills to accurately reconcile differences between algorithm outputs, GTFS data, BusTime, the Client data lake, and real-world bus stop conditions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are necessary to investigate complex data issues, such as duplicate or conflicting identifiers and inconsistencies across multiple data sources.
The employee must be proficient in interpreting transit signage and comfortable working with mapping tools and third-party imagery platforms like Cyclomedia and Google Street View, while also being capable of conducting fieldwork using specialized equipment such as 360 cameras and Jones counters to document subway stations.
In addition, the position requires adaptability, the ability to quickly learn new transit systems and data structures, and the capability to perform field visits when necessary, supported by a valid driver's license.
