A Transformation Project Manager is a professional responsible for leading and overseeing major organizational change initiatives. Their work typically involves coordinating teams, managing resources, and ensuring that transformation projects—such as digital upgrades, process improvements, or cultural shifts—are delivered on time and within budget. They work closely with stakeholders to define project goals, develop strategic plans, and monitor progress. Transformation Project Managers are essential for helping organizations adapt to new technologies, market demands, or business models.

How does a transformation project manager collaborate with cross-functional teams during large-scale change initiatives?

A Transformation Project Manager plays a pivotal role in uniting cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes. They regularly coordinate with stakeholders from various departments—such as IT, operations, HR, and finance—to align goals, clarify expectations, and facilitate effective communication. This often includes leading joint workshops, setting up regular progress meetings, and addressing potential roadblocks early. By acting as both a facilitator and problem-solver, the Transformation Project Manager helps create a cohesive environment where teams can adapt to change smoothly and stay focused on shared objectives.

This role is responsible for end-to-end program delivery, including planning, execution, governance, risks, dependencies, budgets, executive communications, change management, and successful adoption of new systems and processes across multiple business units.

This is a high-impact role for someone who can partner with senior leaders, technology teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and implementation partners to drive strategic enterprise initiatives that transform business systems and processes at a leading healthcare technology organization.

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of CRM, Salesforce, Salesforce CPQ, integrations, data migration, and business transformation projects.
  • Develop and manage project plans, scope, timelines, budgets, risks, dependencies, and delivery milestones.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, stakeholder alignment, and prioritization discussions.
  • Drive project governance, status reporting, executive communications, and decision-making forums.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, vendors, and implementation partners to achieve project objectives in a matrixed organization
  • Manage business, technical, resource, budget, and timeline constraints while helping teams resolve issues and maintain delivery momentum.
  • Serve as a change agent to support adoption of new systems, processes, governance models, and business transformation outcomes.

Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent understanding of business process and financial concepts preferred

Experience

  • 7+ years of project/program management experience, including 5+ years leading complex technology transformation initiatives.
  • Direct experience managing Salesforce CRM, Salesforce CPQ, integrations, and enterprise data migration programs.
  • Strong understanding of lead-to-order and/or order-to-cash business processes.
  • Experience managing systems integration, middleware modernization, API/integration workstreams, or related enterprise technology programs
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, vendors, and implementation partners in a matrixed environment.
  • Demonstrated success managing executive stakeholders, project governance, risks, dependencies, budgets, and organizational change.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, risk management, and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile/SDLC methodologies and tools such as MS Project, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, Teams, and Excel.
  • Experience working with global teams, third-party vendors, and executive stakeholders.
