Job description

Position Overview:
Verra Mobility is currently hiring a Lead Processing Specialist, Event Processing, in our Government Solutions Transaction Processing department. This informal leader is someone who exercises good judgment and makes sound business decisions. A successful candidate will have demonstrated leadership characteristics along with a desire to develop these leadership skills further. The candidate must place great emphasis on high quality work paired with efficient production while also, and especially, placing an even heavier emphasis on sustainable employee engagement. It is also essential that this leader has a true customer-centric mindset. The Team Lead will report to the Supervisor, Event Processing within Verra Mobility's Government Solutions division in the Howard County MD office location.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Regularly reviews processor performance and then provides needed coaching and training to address gaps.
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as informal leader within a team environment.
  • Serves as initial point of contact for team members regarding escalations or other issues.
  • Responsible for collecting and reporting out on daily metrics.
  • Responds to client, customer, and/or internal processing-related inquiries in a professional, thorough, and timely manner.
  • Responds to escalated internal inquiries from other departments and resolves as needed.
  • Provides feedback and/or suggestions to leadership team on improving operational procedures and processes.
  • Partners with outside vendor and subcontractor organizations as needed.
  • Diligently works on various internal project assignments as needed.
  • Assists Supervisor/Manager with other tasks and duties as assigned.
  • Oversees the office and team when supervisor is out of the office.
  • Process Events as needed

Qualifications:
  • A High School Diploma or GED or 2 years relevant working experience
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lead/facilitate meetings
  • Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize work, and act with a sense of urgency to meet assigned deadlines.
  • Able to work independently and as a team.
  • Able to quickly make sound decisions.
  • Professionalism and the ability to work well with different groups of people.
  • Exceptional aptitude and flexibility towards serving and assisting others.
  • Strong interpersonal, decision-making, organizational and conflict management skills.
  • Focus on high quality and strong attention to detail.
  • Strong PC skills including basic proficiency in Word and Excel.
  • Successful completion of the Nlets fingerprinting background assessment.

  • Previous Event Processing experience
