The role sits at the intersection of investment, operations, and internal business partners and provides handson support across public and private assetbacked strategies, including residential, consumer, and commercial asset finance. The individual will play a central role in ensuring transactions are executed efficiently, risks are identified and managed, and proper controls are in place from approval through closing and into ongoing management.

This is a handson role for someone who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment-owning execution, coordinating across stakeholders, and maintaining a strong control framework as the platform grows.

  • Drive transaction timelines, deliverables, and dependencies across internal teams (legal, compliance, operations, finance, tax, technology) and external parties
  • Proactively identify execution risks, structural complexities, and documentation gaps; drive timely resolution
  • Oversee transaction readiness, including documentation, funding mechanics, and operational setup
  • Ensure smooth transition from closing to post-close monitoring and operational handoff
  • Act as a key execution partner to the investment team, enabling efficient deal structuring and decision-making

Controls, Governance & Risk Management

  • Own and maintain ABF operational controls, ensuring alignment with firm standards and regulatory expectations
  • Ensure transactions are executed in accordance with established controls, policies, and governance guidelines
  • Identify control gaps or operational risks during transaction execution and implement practical solutions
  • Partner with Risk, Compliance, and Internal Audit on control reviews, audits, and regulatory inquiries
  • Maintain clear documentation and audit trails to support transparency and accountability across transactions
  • Support integration of new asset types, structures, and counterparties within an appropriate control framework

Platform Execution Support & Oversight

  • Serve as a point of coordination across key operational workstreams, including servicing oversight, reporting, data management, and vendor relationships
  • Support onboarding of new transactions and counterparties from an operational readiness and controls perspective
  • Partner with technology and operations teams to ensure workflows and systems support efficient deal execution
  • Monitor ongoing transactions for operational consistency, issue identification, and adherence to agreed processes

Reporting & Communication

  • Provide clear, timely updates on transaction status, execution risks, and key milestones to stakeholders
  • Prepare materials for internal stakeholders and leadership on transaction activity and platform execution
  • Maintain organized records and documentation to support deal tracking, reporting, and audit requirements

Qualifications

  • 2-5+ years of experience supporting transaction execution, deal closing, or middle office functions within structured credit, securitization, or asset management
  • Strong understanding of transaction lifecycle, closing mechanics, and coordination across multiple stakeholders
  • Experience working with trustees, servicers, counterparties, or external deal parties preferred
  • Familiarity with controls, audit processes, and operating within regulated environments
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple transactions under tight timelines
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with investment, legal, compliance, and operations teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools; experience with deal tracking systems a plus
  • Strong work ethic, ownership mindset, and ability to operate in a fast-paced, execution-focused environment
