  • You will apply comprehensive knowledge of ordnance operations.
  • You will apply knowledge of inventory management, production control and traffic management, ordnance business practices, ADP system requirements, practices and operations obtained from experience in a real-time/hands-on ordnance field environment.
  • You will apply knowledge of established naval supply regulations and ordnance management directives, guidelines, transactions and procedures.
  • You will conduct ordnance transactions, monitor and investigate transaction records and other documents pertaining to inventory accuracy and accountability.
  • You will apply knowledge of naval supply classification, stock transactions and their application, administrative and other ordnance related procedures.
  • You will set overall objectives and decides on resources available.
  • You will plan and carry out the work, resolving most conflicts that arise, integrating and coordinating the work of others as necessary.

Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
  • Experience monitoring all work in process, customer satisfaction, ordnance material stocking levels and all physical movements or ordnance material involved in the receipt, storage, and issue processes for the Unit.
  • Experience with preparation of and procurement of operating supplies, training plans for his/her staff and effective operations of a multi-skilled workforce.
  • Experience implementing, directing, and managing systems and processes associated with the Ordnance Support Division.
  • Experience monitoring work to be accomplished, set priorities, and advising team workers on projected problems.
  • Experience exercising final authority for a full range of personnel actions on subordinate personnel.
  • Experience with ordnance support operations to include ordnance stockpile inventory maintenance, database management, Unit Level facilities management, all ordnance delivery planning, all commercial carrier shipment planning, production support, inventory and storage planning, training requirements, explosive safety analysis, quality control programs and technical publication library operations.
  • Experience planning, managing and evaluating the execution of programs such as Production Planning, Inventory and Shipping on a daily and long-term basis.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
