Job Description

MECHANIC

SALARY: $28.24/hr
Top Rate - $31.38/hr
(Increases every contract year)

QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must have a minimum of four yearsโ€™ experience in automotive, truck, bus, or heavy-duty maintenance and repair with specific emphasis in the following areas: engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, steering, basic electrical and climate control. ALL APPLICANTS MUST POSESS EITHER A CDL OR A CURRENT VALID DRIVERS LICENSE AND BE ABLE TO OBTAIN A COMMERCIAL DRIVERโ€™S LICENSE WITHIN 90 DAYS OF EMPLOYMENT.

MAJOR FUNCTIONS:
Performs major or minor repairs to motor coaches, inspections, adjustments and replacement of units under the supervision of a shop foreman or mechanics of a higher classification.
