Key Responsibilities
  • Direct physical therapy treatment aimed at preventing disability, relieving pain, developing, improving, and restoring muscle function, while maintaining patient independence as outlined in their individualized treatment plans.
  • Evaluate each client's level of function through comprehensive diagnostic tests and functional ability assessments to ensure accurate treatment plans are established.
  • Coordinate with physical therapy assistants to ensure effective implementation of therapy regimens and to enhance overall patient care.
  • Assess and modify therapeutic strategies based on ongoing patient evaluations, adapting approaches as necessary for optimal recovery outcomes.
  • Provide hands-on physical therapy services including manual therapeutic exercises, traction, and the application of physical agents like heat and cold therapy, ensuring a variety of methods are employed based on the patient's needs.
  • Participate actively in the preparation and maintenance of clinical records, documenting initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries to keep all relevant stakeholders informed.
  • Engage as a vital member of the interdisciplinary team by attending case conferences, sharing insights, and contributing to a holistic treatment approach that encompasses the patient's entire care pathway.
  • Educate clients and their families on home exercises, care for therapy equipment, and overall physical therapy programs guiding them toward independence in their rehabilitation journey.
  • Monitor and report changes in clients' conditions, proposing necessary adjustments to treatment plans in collaboration with the referring physician and the case management team.
  • Fulfill administrative responsibilities including timely submission of clinical and payroll documentation, ensuring compliance with branch policies and regulatory requirements.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist.

Preferred Experience
