Training Manager- Advanced Security Programs
Compensation: $64.32/hr
Region: San Jose up to Santa Rosa
Travel: 90%
Blackstone Consulting, Inc. is seeking an Training Manager - Advanced Security Programs for their Healthcare Security Client in Southern California.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Training Manager - Advanced Security Programs role is to coordinate, develop, and deliver direct training specific to Blackstone Consulting Inc's advanced security programs. These are advanced level programs that include direct usage of firearms, tasers, pepper gel, and body worn cameras in a healthcare environment and the training of these items on top of regular day to day operations is imperative to the success of the program. The right candidate for this position must be comfortable with group facilitation, providing coaching & corrective feedback, obtaining required certifications, and teaching Jiujitsu-based physical tactics. Must be able to adjust and adapt frequently to schedule and content changes with a can-do attitude.
Responsibilities/ Duties:
* Present training materials and information using a variety of instructional techniques, such as role-playing, simulations, team exercises, lectures, computer-based or through other creative avenues
* Foster an inclusive learning space that caters to different learning styles
* Recognize learning milestones and double down on areas of weakness while continuing to move the program forward
* Evaluate training materials, modes of training delivery, and training content, and amend and revise materials as necessary, to adapt to the changes that occur in the work environment, identified gaps, or new regulations.
* Research and remain current in all federal and state mandatory training requirements to meet company compliance efforts
* Adhere to all company policies and procedures and remain in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
* Provide a professional atmosphere where client staff, members, and visitors' needs are responded to with care, and every interaction is courteous, respectful, and pleasant
* Present a professional image of BCI, the client, and the Security Department
* Maintain and display excellent public relations skills in all interactions
* Organize and develop training manuals, reference library, testing and evaluation procedures, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials
* Communicate with and support management in achieving training and development objectives and goals for training.
* Learn healthcare facility-specific procedures and policies.
* Read and interpret documents such as police reports, local and state laws, instructions, and procedure manuals.
* Deliver training programs, policies, and training schedules for employees on common and specialized security subjects in accordance with all legal, contractual, and company-mandated requirements.
* Maintain training records and prepare reports to evaluate the performance of training activities and instructors and to monitor the progress of trainees.
* Obtain and maintain training through approved programs for physical tactics (jiujitsu based), de-escalation, firearms (if needed), taser, body cameras.
