Job description

Hiring Bonus: $1000*
Pay starts at $28.43 / Hour then jumps to $31.16 once qualified as a Press Mechanic
Plus $0.80 per hour shift differential for Night Shift
Shift Hours are 6PM - 6AM, 4 days on and 4 days off
Are you mechanically inclined? Do you have mechanical knowledge? We are looking for you!
Join us as a Production Operator and train on-the-job to become a Mechanic within 6 months! Pay increases to $31.16 upon successful completion of the training program and testing requirements**. Are you ready for the challenge?

What You'll Do
  • Assist in performing routine maintenance on assigned machines under supervision
  • Support machine changeovers and learn proper procedures
  • Follow guidance on shutdown and startup procedures for auxiliary equipment
  • Participate in equipment overhaul tasks as assigned
  • Promptly report unusual events or emergencies to the supervisor
  • Adhere to all safety procedures, including PPE, LOTO, working at heights, confined spaces, and hazardous materials handling
  • Ensure all related documentation is completed accurately with appropriate guidance
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Additional related duties as required; others as assigned.

Job Requirements:
  • Passing score on Battery X - Mechanic test
  • Willingness to learn and assist with the setup, startup, and operation of manufacturing equipment
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks in a professional and responsible manner
  • Basic understanding or interest in mechanical tools and equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow safety protocols
  • Ability to operate or learn to operate a forklift or other lifting equipment

Experience/Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude or interest in hands-on technical work is a plus

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to kneel, stoop, crawl, squat, and stand for extended periods while learning maintenance procedures
  • Ability to distinguish minor variations in materials and components
  • Adequate hand-eye coordination to assist in machine adjustments under supervision
  • Basic physical strength to handle tools and equipment as required
