Position Overview

The Sales Training Manager is responsible to develop and execute training/education programs for field-based, customer-facing employees. This person will manage the learning objectives, curriculum and training content for the SWAV product lines in coordination with business strategies. This role will partner with Marketing and Sales leadership to create/revise and execute new hire and ongoing training programs.

Essential Job Functions

  • Deliver product, disease state and clinical skills-based training programs to the field sales organization in alignment with goals and strategies

  • Lead in-house and field-based product training programs for new hires, tenured employees and distributor representatives, including management of a field trainer program

  • Collaborate with product marketing team to create and launch new training content for field sales force on an ongoing basis

  • Drive the development of training content, ensure content is continually up to date and manage/administer the various platforms used for training delivery

  • Develop and maintain competency assessments and certification program

  • Compile and provide trainee completion reporting to sales leadership. Play the central role in ensuring completion and competency

  • Establish and develop key internal and external relationships, including cross functional teams, field teams and thought leaders

  • Travel in field regularly to assess field force knowledge and identify future learning needs

  • Monitor the effectiveness of product and procedural training modules; collect and compile feedback and incorporate conclusions from analysis into design and implementation of new/modified programs

  • Accountable to develop and monitor global budget for education & training programs

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study required

  • Minimum 2 years of medical device sales training or field trainer experience

  • Experience with curriculum development and adult learning theory preferred

  • Previous cardiovascular domain experience highly preferred, ideally in coronary or peripheral vascular interventional medicine

  • Experience in prior field sales and/or sales management roles is preferred

  • Experience administrating /managing learning management systems including development and delivery of online learning modules is a plus

  • Strong execution track record demonstrating quality results, on time and on budget

  • Experience developing and presenting innovative solutions to meet the business needs

  • Ability to successfully work cross functionally and with team members and vendors in the US and International markets

  • Must be a team player, results-driven and solution oriented

  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and deadline-driven management skills

  • Minimum 15% travel, depending on location of the individual

  • Good prioritization and organizational skills

  • There may be continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8-hour day)

$118,000.00 - $203,550.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
