Program Manager
Location: Tewksbury, MA (Hybrid)
Role Overview
This role is responsible for managing the implementation of specific government or commercial contracts. The Program Manager will lead and influence the engineering team and cross-functional teams to achieve program objectives. This position involves planning, coordinating, and managing all actions necessary to execute a project, ensuring client requirements are met while directing personnel and managing cost and schedule.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a comprehensive Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and project schedule with the core team.
  • Lead the team through the New Product Introduction lifecycle, including requirements, concept development, design reviews, V&V, and release to production.
  • Lead team meetings, technical meetings, program reviews, and gate reviews.
  • Work with the cross-functional team to address program issues and manage program risks.
  • Communicate regularly and clearly to internal and external program stakeholders.
  • Manage cost and schedule, ensure contract compliance, and serve as a principal customer interface.
  • Oversee project closeout activities, including collecting lessons learned.
  • Direct personnel, provide leadership, and evaluate performance.
Required Qualifications
  • BS/BA in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar field.
  • 10+ years of total experience, with 5+ years of experience as a program manager in hardware and software product development.
  • Solid understanding of project management principles, including scope, time, and cost management.
  • Experience with PowerPoint presentations for reporting project status and risks.
  • Strong risk and stakeholder management experience with proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Broad engineering background sufficient to analyze design data related to electrical, software, and mechanical disciplines.
  • Effective communication, strategic thinking, leadership, and organizational skills.
