Training Administrator
Summary
Responsible for new hire and annual training as well as the clerical and administrative duties related to the delivery of training and organizational development programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead by Example - Promote a culture of Safety, HSE, Quality, Accountability, Integrity, and Continuous Improvement.
  • Align with kp's strategic compass and core behaviors: Focus, Accountability, Respect, and Urgency.
  • Conduct new hire orientation training: Safety, PPE, Introduction to Quality, Fork Truck Training, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, kp nomenclature, site/organizational structure, material flow across the site, calender/extrusion methodology, IMS, kp email, kp Academy, and other required training.
  • Instill a culture of safety, quality (first time right), OTIF, productivity, and sustainability.
  • Assist with new hire follow-up to ensure training needs are being met.
  • Review and update work instructions, SOPs, training aides, operational procedures and policies.
  • Train employees on revised operational policies and procedures, work instructions, SOPs, and training aides.
  • Administer a recordkeeping system/training matrix to track employee training participation and progress.
  • Schedule training events, coordinates with instructors, obtains and distributes required instructional materials, and communicates schedules and details.
  • Assist with management of kp Apprenticeship program.
  • Prepare learning materials for training classes.
  • Assist with development of a cross-functional workforce.
  • Organize and track annual training requirements related to Operations, Safety, OSHA, Quality, 5S, and other areas.
  • Complete required PASA audits for improving Behavior Based Safety, and drive team behaviors for continued safety awareness and practices.
  • Drive safety improvements through risk identification and elimination, as well as full compliance with daily risk assessment completion.
  • Manage participants effectively in a classroom and shopfloor environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalency; Associate's Degree preferred; five to eight years related experience and/or training with one to two years of supervisory/leadership experience in a plastics/polymer manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
