What does a training operations coordinator do?

A Training Operations Coordinator is responsible for organizing, planning, and managing the logistics of training programs within an organization. They coordinate schedules, secure training venues, prepare materials, handle registrations, and often serve as the main point of contact for trainers and participants. Their goal is to ensure that training sessions run smoothly and effectively, supporting both trainers and learners. Additionally, they may track attendance, collect feedback, and help with reporting to improve future training initiatives.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a training operations coordinator, and why are they important?

A Training Operations Coordinator should have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience in project or event coordination, often supported by a bachelor’s degree in business, education, or a related field. Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS), scheduling software, and office productivity tools like Microsoft Excel is typically required. Excellent communication, problem-solving abilities, and a customer-service mindset help individuals excel in managing logistics and collaborating with stakeholders. These competencies ensure seamless training delivery, efficient use of resources, and high participant satisfaction.

What are some typical challenges faced by training operations coordinators, and how can they be addressed?

Training Operations Coordinators often face challenges such as managing multiple training schedules, coordinating logistics across teams, and ensuring all training materials are up-to-date and accessible. Balancing conflicting priorities and responding to last-minute changes requires strong organizational skills and adaptability. Proactively communicating with trainers, participants, and other stakeholders, as well as utilizing project management tools, can help streamline processes and minimize disruptions. Building strong relationships within the organization also ensures smoother collaboration and more effective problem-solving.

Operations Coordinator
ComForCare Home Care Las Vegas West – Veteran-Owned
Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (occasional on-call)
Las Vegas, NV

We are a veteran-owned, non-medical home care agency committed to being the most dependable and compliant provider in the Las Vegas Valley. We operate fully above-board with 100% compliant caregivers and are known for our reliability — when we say our caregivers will be there, they show up. Our mission is to deliver quality care to veterans and seniors while growing the number of veterans and private-pay/Long Term Care Insurance clients we serve.
We’re seeking an experienced Operations Coordinator who can hit the ground running on Day 1 and make an immediate impact. We need a proactive self-starter with real home care office experience in onboarding, recruiting support, compliance, scheduling, caregiver management, and client satisfaction. No hand-holding — if you’re dependable, highly organized, and ready to own operations, this is your opportunity to grow with a mission-driven agency.
What You’ll Do
  • Own caregiver scheduling to ensure full coverage with zero gaps.
  • Lead onboarding and compliance processes (fingerprints, physicals, TB tests, CPR, etc.) to keep us audit-proof.
  • Support recruiting: screen candidates, schedule interviews, and build a strong caregiver pipeline.
  • Manage caregiver performance, communication, and retention proactively.
  • Drive client satisfaction through excellent communication with clients, families, and referral sources.
  • Use Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Calendar) to maintain organized, efficient operations.
  • Contribute to our growth goals — especially expanding veteran services in Las Vegas.
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience in a home care or senior care office setting (required).
  • Strong track record as a self-starter who is proactive rather than reactive.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • High integrity and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace.
  • Passion for serving veterans and seniors.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
  • Must pass background check and drug screening.
We are tired of hiring people who don’t want to work. If you’re a dependable professional who takes initiative and wants to make a real difference, we want to hear from you.
What We Offer
  • Competitive pay with performance-based raises.
  • Health, dental, and vision benefits.
  • Paid training and professional development.
  • 15% tuition discount through Southern New Hampshire University.
  • Direct deposit, overtime, and holiday pay.
  • A supportive, results-oriented environment where your work directly helps veterans and families.
If you’re ready to grow with a veteran-owned agency known for integrity and dependability, apply today. Tell us in your cover letter why you’re the right fit.
