Position Title: Branch Operations Coordinator
 FLSA Status: Nonexempt / Hourly
 Location: Fort Collins, CO
 Reports To: Divisional Operations Manager

Position Summary
 The Branch Operations Coordinator is responsible for supporting the safe, accurate, and efficient flow of daily branch operations at the Fort Collins location. This hands-on, nonexempt role coordinates operational processes related to customer service, shipping and receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, facility presentation, and branch workflow.

This position partners with the Divisional Operations Manager to help ensure work is completed accurately, safely, and in accordance with company procedures. The Branch Operations Coordinator may help prioritize daily work, communicate operational needs, identify process issues, and escalate concerns to management. This role does not supervise employees and does not have authority to hire, terminate, discipline, evaluate performance, approve timecards, or make employment decisions.

This is a nonexempt hourly position and is eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable federal and Colorado wage and hour laws.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

  • Provide professional, responsive customer service to current and prospective customers. 
  • Support timely and accurate communication regarding orders, deliveries, product availability, and service needs. 
  • Help resolve routine customer questions or concerns and escalate complex matters when appropriate. 
  • Maintain positive, professional relationships with customers, vendors, drivers, employees, and other business contacts. 
  • Support a clean, organized, and professional branch environment.

Shipping & Receiving

  • Coordinate daily shipping and receiving processes to support accurate, efficient, and timely order fulfillment. 
  • Pick, stage, inspect, receive, load, unload, and document materials in accordance with company procedures. 
  • Ensure inbound shipments are checked for accuracy and entered in the company systems as required. 
  • Help ensure outbound orders are properly prepared, staged, and loaded for customer pickup or delivery. 
  • Coordinate with transportation, logistics, warehouse, yard, and other departments as needed. 
  • Safely load and unload trucks manually, by forklift, or with other material-handling equipment.

Branch Operations Coordination

  • Coordinate daily branch workflow, operational priorities, and order fulfillment needs in partnership with the Divisional Operations Manager. 
  • Monitor branch processes and communicate issues related to customer service, shipping, receiving, inventory, facility needs, equipment, or safety. 
  • Help ensure orders are picked, staged, loaded, received, and documented accurately and efficiently. 
  • Identify routine operational issues and escalate employee relations, performance, scheduling, safety, or policy concerns to the Divisional Operations Manager or Human Resources. 
  • Support facility and equipment maintenance by identifying maintenance needs and reporting safety or operational concerns. 
  • Reinforce company safety procedures, OSHA requirements, and safe equipment operating practices. 
  • Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, drivers, employees, and management regarding branch operational needs. 
  • Represent the company professionally within the community and at customer or industry events, as appropriate. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Qualifications

  • Three years of hands-on warehouse, yard, branch, operations, customer service, or building materials experience preferred. 
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate professionally with customers, employees, vendors, drivers, and management. 
  • Working knowledge of shipping, receiving, inventory, showroom, yard, and branch operations. 
  • Ability to coordinate daily workflow, prioritize operational needs, monitor process accuracy, and escalate concerns appropriately. 
  • Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM systems, inventory systems, and other branch-related software. 
  • Working knowledge of OSHA safety practices and ability to follow and reinforce company safety policies. 
  • Valid driver’s license that meets company motor vehicle standards, if driving is required. 
  • Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification. 
  • Ability to safely load, unload, move, and stage materials by hand, forklift, or other equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation.
