DC Shipping Specialist

Rio Grande is seeking a Shipping Specialist for our Distribution Center. You’ll be packing and shipping products to fulfill customer orders.

What You'll Do:

• Safely, accurately, and efficiently pack and ship customer orders
• Pack and ship orders that are small, large and have hazardous materials
• Ensure orders are processed in accordance with our customer service standards
• Problem-solve and research inventory and order discrepancies
• Utilize RF equipment and PC daily
• Interact with teammates to recommend process improvements that will benefit our customers and our business
• Resource and learn other process areas as needed

What You'll Need:

• 1 year of warehouse or shipping experience preferred
• Self-motivation and superior attention to detail
• Excellent research, problem-solving and multi-tasking abilities
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to master operation of forklifts, pallet jacks
• Investigative problem-solving skills
• Organizational, prioritization and multi-tasking skills
• Communication skills 
• See mistakes as learning opportunities
• Be open to constructive feedback and discussion aimed at learning and improving

• Rio Grande is a Metal Free operations environment.
• Distribution Center

Schedule/Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work an 8-hour shift between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm, M-F
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and sit/stand for long periods of time
