Job Description

As a Robotics Application & Training Manager, you have ownership of the execution of the strategy for our customer technical support throughout North America. Your skills and experience in Industrial Robotics or Automation allow you to maintain a high level of technical expertise within your team and to nurture a culture of excellence.

Thanks to your leadership, you will lead all our training and application support operations and ensure that our customers and their teams can conceptualize, deploy, operate and optimize their applications with Stäubli robots while benefiting from their full performance.

As a key member of our organization, both a leader and a team player, you will make a decisive contribution to the achievement of our objectives in terms of customer satisfaction and revenue growth.

Robotics Head of Services North America

Responsibilities and Objectives:

Lead & Develop Training Excellence:

  • Manage and develop a high-performing training team
  • Design and deliver training programs (operation, programming, troubleshooting, safety)
  • Develop digital training materials, manuals, and LMS content
  • Evaluate trainees and manage certification processes
  • Conduct skills gap analysis and continuous learning strategies

Drive After-Sales Application Support:

  • Act as escalation point for complex application issues
  • Oversee hotline support and remote diagnostics
  • Coordinate with field service teams for issue resolution
  • Reduce downtime and ensure fast resolution

Ensure Application Excellence in the Field:

  • Support robot integration, setup, and optimization
  • Develop custom programming and application solutions
  • Perform on-site troubleshooting and performance improvements
  • Validate training effectiveness through real-world deployment

Build Technical Knowledge & Continuous Improvement:

  • Maintain technical knowledge base and best practices
  • Analyze recurring issues and provide R&D feedback
  • Drive continuous improvement of training and application processes
  • Stay updated with robotics and automation trends

Collaborate & Drive Business Impact:

  • Work cross-functionally with service, sales, and engineering
  • Support service growth through training and application excellence
  • Monitor KPIs (customer satisfaction, resolution time, training impact)
  • Contribute to service strategy and revenue development

Adheres to all safety, quality and environmental standards

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Robotics or related field
  • 5+ years in robotics or application engineering
  • Experience in technical training and after-sales support
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Expertise in programming, integration, and troubleshooting
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities

Additional Information

Work schedule:

  • Willingness to travel as required both domestically and internationally (up to 15%)
  • This position will report to the Duncan, SC office with flexible (hybrid) schedule after completion
