Your Impact
Join Axon's Professional Services team as a PSA Systems Developer, owning the administration and optimization of Certinia as our Professional Services Automation (PSA) tool within Salesforce. This role is critical to enabling high-impact delivery across our global Hardware and Software Professional Services organizations. You will configure and enhance the PSA system to support project tracking, resource management, timekeeping, billing, and forecasting at scale. You'll work closely with Professional Services business stakeholders and the Salesforce Digital Customer Experience team to ensure Certinia is optimized for performance, adoption, and ongoing business value.
You will serve as both the hands-on administrator and technical owner, bringing a deep understanding of Salesforce and PSA best practices. Your work will drive automation, reduce operational friction, and increase visibility across the end-to-end services lifecycle.
What You'll Do
Location: This role is based out of one of our hub locations (Scottsdale AZ, Atlanta GA, Boston MA, Seattle WA) and follows a hybrid schedule. We rely on in-person collaboration and ask that team members work onsite Tuesdays through Fridays, with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays, unless there is an approved workplace accommodation. We believe that connection fuels innovation, and our in-office culture is designed to foster meaningful teamwork, mentorship, and shared success.
Reports to: Sr. Director, Global Services and Support Operations
Direct Reports: 0
Certinia PSA Administration
  • Serve as the system administrator for Certinia, configuring PSA modules for project setup, milestones, resource scheduling, time/expense, billing, and revenue forecasting.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for PSA-related questions, escalations, enhancements, and training.
  • Maintain and govern PSA system data, ensuring accuracy in project records, resource allocations, and time tracking.
  • Manage user access, security roles, and audit compliance.

Salesforce System Management & Development
  • Administer and enhance Salesforce platform integrations with Certinia, including custom workflows, automation rules, and reporting dashboards.
  • Collaborate with Salesforce developers and IT to implement enhancements, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions within the Salesforce ecosystem.

Optimization & Support
  • Drive continuous improvement of our PSA solution, including backlog grooming, feature releases, and system upgrades.
  • Partner closely with stakeholders across Professional Services, Finance, and Operations to gather feedback, prioritize enhancements, and ensure the system aligns with evolving business needs.
  • Support UAT and change management activities for new features and processes.
  • Monitor usage and adoption metrics; deliver enablement and support to users across professional services teams.
  • Document configurations, SOPs, and best practices to support scaling and knowledge transfer.
What You Bring
Required Skills / Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years experience in a Certinia or Salesforce systems administration, business systems analyst or development role.
  • 1+ years experience building flows, automation, and customizations within Salesforce.
  • Knowledge of database software or relational database theory and ability to query using SQL, SOQL, or similar.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical personnel.
  • Strong knowledge of project management, resource planning, timekeeping, and billing processes in a professional services environment.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Preferred Skills / Experience
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator, Advanced Administrator, Platform Developer I, or other Salesforce certifications.
  • Prior Experience with Git or Github.
  • Prior experience with Certinia or similar PSA tool.
  • Prior Experience with Salesforce development (e.g., Apex, Lightning Web Components) a strong plus.
