About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and people-focused Employee Development Coordinator to join our Human Resources team. This role will be responsible for supporting the growth, development, and continued success of our employees throughout their entire tenure with the company. The Employee Development Coordinator will oversee and coordinate employee training and development initiatives across all areas of the business, ensuring employees have the knowledge, skills, resources, and opportunities they need to perform at their best and grow within the organization. This position will partner closely with leadership, managers, department heads, and employees to identify development needs, coordinate training programs, track progress, and continuously improve our learning and development offerings.
The ideal candidate is passionate about helping people grow, highly organized, an excellent communicator, and comfortable working across multiple departments and levels of an organization.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Training & Development
  • Coordinate and manage employee training and development programs from onboarding through all stages of an employee's career.
  • Create and implement 30, 60, and 90-day onboarding plans for new hires to establish clear expectations, accelerate productivity, and support successful integration into the team.
  • Develop, coordinate, and facilitate training programs covering company policies, procedures, systems, technical skills, leadership, communication, customer service, professional development, and other business-specific competencies.
  • Partner with department leaders to identify training needs and develop solutions that support departmental and organizational goals.
  • Coordinate new-hire training and ensure employees receive the appropriate training and resources to successfully transition into their roles.
  • Support ongoing training, refresher courses, cross-training, and continuing education opportunities.
  • Help develop career development pathways and learning opportunities for employees at various levels of the organization.
  • Coordinate leadership and management development programs.
  • Assist with succession planning and employee growth initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-functional training and employee skill development.
Training Program Administration
  • Maintain a company-wide training calendar and coordinate training schedules across departments.
  • Manage training logistics, including scheduling, materials, meeting spaces, technology, attendance, and communications.
  • Maintain accurate employee training records and documentation.
  • Track required and compliance-related training and follow up with employees and managers as needed.
  • Monitor employee completion of assigned training and provide regular reporting to HR and leadership.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through surveys, assessments, feedback, performance trends, and other measures.
  • Maintain and organize training materials, resources, presentations, guides, and other learning content.
  • Assist in managing the company's learning management system
Employee Growth & Engagement
  • Serve as a resource for employees seeking opportunities to develop new skills and advance their careers.
  • Help create a culture of continuous learning, professional growth, and knowledge sharing.
  • Assist managers in identifying development opportunities for their team members.
  • Support employee development plans and career progression initiatives.
  • Coordinate mentorship, coaching, job-shadowing, cross-training, and other development programs.
  • Partner with HR to support employee engagement and retention initiatives.
Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Build strong working relationships with leaders and employees across all departments and levels of the company.
  • Work with subject-matter experts throughout the organization to develop and deliver department-specific training.
  • Gain an understanding of the various functions of the business in order to identify opportunities for employee development and cross-training.
  • Partner with HR leadership on company-wide people initiatives and organizational development projects.
  • Communicate training opportunities, expectations, deadlines, and resources clearly and consistently to employees and leaders.
Continuous Improvement
  • Regularly assess the effectiveness of existing training and development programs.
  • Gather feedback from employees, managers, and leadership to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Research new training methods, development resources, and learning technologies.
  • Recommend improvements to the company's employee development strategy and programs.
  • Help ensure training programs remain relevant, engaging, accessible, and aligned with the company's goals and values.
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience in employee training, learning and development, human resources, organizational development, or a related field.
  • Experience coordinating training programs across multiple departments preferred.
  • Strong organizational and project-management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Comfortable working with employees at all levels of an organization.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, HRIS platforms, or similar systems.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling employee information.
  • A genuine interest in employee growth, learning, and organizational success.
