Job description

We are looking for an Training & Development Specialist to support a contract assignment in Washington. This position will focus on strengthening day-to-day HR operations, improving documentation, and building clear, practical procedures that support multiple retail locations. The ideal candidate brings a process-driven mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to translate complex workflows into easy-to-follow guidance. This is a contract position suited for someone who is comfortable working independently, asking thoughtful questions, and helping modernize operational and people practices.


Responsibilities:

โ€ข Develop and refine HR and operational policies so they are clear, consistent, and easy for teams to follow across several store locations.

โ€ข Create step-by-step process documentation and training materials that improve understanding of daily procedures and workplace expectations.

โ€ข Partner with leadership to review existing practices, identify gaps, and recommend practical improvements to support business operations.

โ€ข Support onboarding activities and related HR administration to help create an organized and positive employee experience.

โ€ข Contribute to HRIS and workflow-related updates by helping organize information, track changes, and improve process efficiency.

โ€ข Help implement operational tools or maintenance-related workflow processes as needed, ensuring users understand new procedures and expectations.

โ€ข Experience in HR administration, operations support, or a similar process-focused role.

โ€ข Ability to write policies, procedures, and training documents in a clear and user-friendly format.

โ€ข Strong communication skills with the ability to ask effective questions and clarify process details.

โ€ข Experience in retail, multi-site operations, or fast-paced field environments is highly valued.

โ€ข Organized and self-directed approach with the ability to manage priorities independently.
