General Manager (Restaurant Operations)

Position Summary

The General Manager leads all aspects of restaurant operations, building and developing a high-

performing team while driving consistent execution and strong financial results.

The General Manager serves as the on-site business leader of the restaurant and reports directly

to the District Manager. This role is accountable for overall restaurant performance, including

team development, operational execution, and financial results.

The General Manager leads a team of 25-40 team members and is responsible for building a

high-performing leadership team, maintaining operational discipline, and delivering consistent

results across all dayparts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Team Development
  • Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing team
  • Establish clear expectations and drive accountability through coaching and performance management
  • Develop managers to lead shifts and teams effectively
  • Foster a culture of professionalism, consistency, and results

Training & Development

  • Oversee execution of all training programs, including onboarding and certification
  • Ensure training standards are consistently applied
  • Hold managers accountable for training completion and reinforcement
  • Identify gaps and implement development plans
  • Track training progress and maintain readiness

Operational Execution

  • Lead day-to-day restaurant operations across quality, service, cleanliness, and speed
  • Maintain active presence in the restaurant

Financial & Labor Management

  • Forecast sales and align labor strategies
  • Monitor key metrics including labor, food cost, and sales trends

Qualifications

  • 2-3+ years of restaurant or retail management experience
  • Supervisory or Assistant Manager experience required
  • Experience in QSR or fast-casual preferred
  • Knowledge of POS, BOH systems, inventory, and reporting tools
  • Experience with cash handling and deposits
  • Proficiency in email, scheduling, and basic computer tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • ServSafe Certification (or equivalent) preferred
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
