Training & Performance Development Manager Full Time Management Nashville, TN, US General Summary of Duties The Training and Performance Development Manager will help drive the JW Marriott Nashville values and philosophy.

The position is key in developing and sustaining the property's culture while ensuring all training and development activities are strategically linked to the organization's vision. The Training Manager will work with the property's leadership team to identify and address Team Member and organizational development needs. The Training and Performance Development Manager will also be responsible to assist in planning and implementing the performance improvement program.

Examples of Duties (includes but is not limited to the following) Support the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of Learning programs Support the facilitation of both management and line-level curriculum demonstrating sound application of standard classroom management techniques Support structured reviews of instructional design plans and outcomes to ensure alignment with JW Marriott instructional standards Track attendance and course completion requirements Manage learning spaces to required standards including supplies for the room and classes Make recommendations to enhance learning programs as necessary, in order to adapt to the changes that occur in the work environment or organizational strategy Serve as point of contact for Forbes Travel Guide partnership and share information across property as relevant.

Plan and execute hotel-wide Forbes Travel Guide training based on operational needs to maintain luxury standards and Forbes Travel Guide Recommended Rating.

In partnership with HR Leadership, work with subject matter experts to build relevant and effective learning programs In partnership with HR Leadership, identify Learning and Performance Improvement needs through effective planning and execution of job / needs analysis and performance appraisals Support the development, implementation, and evaluation of all career planning, upward mobility, succession planning programs & initiatives Support the development of department trainers bench strength ensuring effectiveness of department training Support the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and evaluation of Department Training planning, execution and effectiveness Lead, manage, and conduct training including but not limited to New Hire Orientation, Leadership Orientation, Leadership Development Series, Management Development Program and Symphony of Service constantly evaluating for effectiveness and continued improvement Manage performance appraisal process, including but not limited to, tracking and filing of performance reviews.

Lead compliance training, tracking and reporting for the property ensuring property remains compliant in all required areas including, but not limited to, JW Marriott brand standards Prepare training programs and tools; maintain a library of training aids Complete administrative duties for management development programs, including but not limited to, event set up, compilation of evaluation data, and tracking Schedule training sessions and publish a monthly training calendar Facilitate performance improvement activities throughout the property Act as a resource person to department managers.

Work with leaders to assess their quality assurance needs and ensure that they have the resources necessary to reach high-quality results Assist HR Leadership with Team Member Engagement survey management Perform additional duties and projects as assigned Position Requirements Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role in a hospitality setting Ability to speak, read, write and understand English Professional demeanor appropriate for a luxury environment Proven ability to plan and organize events effectively, with an acute sense of detail Assertive, professional and positive approach with a proven ability to develop and lead in a team environment Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal Performance Improvement standards of practice Training Delivery Learning Technologies Excel in public speaking and moderating large groups and diverse audiences Education College degree in Human Resources, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, Education or similar studies preferred Typical Physical / Mental Demands Must be able to stand walk, sit Must be able to bend, stoop, crouch Must use hands to reach, grasp, handle, pull and push Must have good near and far vision Must be able to hear, talk, smell Majority of duties performed indoors.
