Job description

This position requires in-office presence 5 days a week and is only offered at the posted location.

Designed for students currently pursuing a master's degree (MS), this 10-12 week summer internship with the Accounting Leadership Development Program offers valuable experience through structured assignments, strategic projects, and exposure to various corporate accounting disciplines. Designed to set you up for consideration for the full-time program upon graduation, the ALDP summer internship allows you to contribute to cross-functional team initiatives, foster your leadership skills, and encourage your organizational growth.
What you'll do:
  • Rotate through various accounting disciplines within AT&T's finance and accounting organizations
  • Work on assigned projects that may include analyzing monthly financial reports, providing accounting support for complex M&A activities, implementing new ASC regulatory changes preparing journal entries, reconciling ledger accounts, and managing the legal entity monthly reporting process, etc.
  • Collaborate with leaders, receive mentorship, and participate in networking opportunities with peers. Build effective relationships with co-workers and supervisors to enhance your corporate finance and accounting knowledge.
  • Perform additional tasks as required to support the program's objectives including contributing to process improvements, communicating results to managers and senior leaders, and gaining comprehensive accounting experience.

What you'll need:
  • Current enrollment within a master's degree (MS) program with a focus in Accounting, Finance, or Economics, or other related specialty
  • Estimated graduation date between Fall 2027 - Spring 2028
  • Ability to meet the full-time, in-office requirement in Dallas throughout the duration of the program
  • 0-2 years of related experience
  • Ability to work under detailed supervision and follow outlined procedures, with visibility primarily within the department or region

Our Accounting Leadership Development Interns earn an annual salary of $52,000, not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting pay within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
