Job Summary
This role is responsible for enhancing, maintaining, and building effective pharmacy-focused early career and pipeline programs that support students, interns, pharmacy technicians, pharmacists, and key talent communities across the organizations.
The individual will partner with pharmacy leaders, Human Resources, early career stakeholders, and learning professionals to create meaningful development experiences that strengthen our healthcare talent pipeline and support Walgreens' long-term workforce strategy. They will focus on early career development and talent program strategy and design, including objectives, approach, content, and delivery, while ensuring solutions are implemented efficiently through effective project management.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building training programs, improving existing experiences, facilitating stakeholder discussions, and translating business needs into scalable talent solutions.
Job Responsibilities
  • Develops, writes and edits deliverables for early career programs (including internships,
  • apprenticeships and clinical pharmacy rotations) & initiatives, leverages learning design. Ensures high-quality content deliverables through editing and quality assurance procedures.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders on new program development for early talent populations and develops, analyzes, and designs a variety of learning materials and approaches for enterprise talent programs & initiatives (e.g., facilitated and non-facilitated interactions).
  • Scopes and designs innovative learning & talent experiences in alignment with company Strategy.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with subject matter experts on learning solutions & experiences.
  • Benchmarks programs against industry best practices to maintain competitiveness and program effectiveness.
  • Collects feedback from participants and stakeholders, incorporating insights into program
  • enhancements.
  • Plans and tracks more complex learning projects to successful and timely completion, measures and reports key program metrics including retention rates, conversion to full-time roles, and participant satisfaction through development of dashboard/actionable metrics review.
  • Identifies issues, diagnoses problems, researches best practices and generates alternatives to drive continuous improvement of learning programs.
  • Manages complex internal and external learning & development content, collects and refines relevant content to be leveraged to meet instructional objectives.
  • Recommends and designs means to measure the effectiveness of learning initiatives, evaluates and interprets the results.
  • Analyzes the usability of new systems/tools, improves interface, system design and user experience.

External Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of experience in Learning Program Development and Execution, Human Resources, Talent Acquisition or High School/GED and at least 4 years of experience in Learning Program Development and Execution, Human Resources, Talent Acquisition.
  • Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.
  • Experience developing presentations to various audience levels within an organization.
  • Experience establishing & maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization, internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated ability to creatively solve problems.
  • Intermediate level experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Pharmacist or pharmacy technician experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with internship, apprenticeship, clinical rotation or other early career program design preferred.
  • Experience with project management (for example: planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives).
  • Experience facilitating working sessions with stakeholders to gather requirements.
  • Experience conducting research and root cause analysis.
  • Experience with various written means of communication with the ability to translate Learning & Development concepts into clear, compelling messages.
