For over 50 years, Michael Dunn Center has empowered individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live meaningful, independent lives. Based in Roane County, we operate more than 20 residential homes and provide a full continuum of services designed to support each person's unique goals and needs.
We're looking for a highly organized, dependable, and team-focused professional to join us as a Scheduling Coordinator. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, supporting staff, coordinating schedules, and helping ensure quality care is delivered every day.
Join Us as a Scheduling Coordinator
As a Scheduling Coordinator, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our residential programs are properly staffed and operating smoothly. You'll work closely with leadership and direct care teams to coordinate schedules, support new employees, identify staffing needs, and help maintain quality services for the individuals we support.
This position combines scheduling, staff support, training assistance, and operational coordination, making it a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, teamwork, and making an impact.
What You'll Do
Scheduling & Staffing
  • Create and maintain monthly staff schedules
  • Coordinate staffing coverage for multiple residential homes
  • Address call-ins, schedule changes, and staffing gaps
  • Participate in regular staffing and scheduling meetings
  • Assist with on-call coverage and staffing support as needed
  • Help ensure adequate staffing levels to meet the needs of individuals supported
Employee Support & Training
  • Assist with new employee onboarding and orientation
  • Support training initiatives and ongoing staff development
  • Serve as a resource for new and current employees
  • Help reinforce agency policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Encourage employee engagement and success
Administrative Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Communicate scheduling updates and staffing information
  • Support compliance with agency policies and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and individual information
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned
Quality & Team Support
  • Promote person-centered services and supports
