Job Requirements
Starting Pay Range: $24.00 - $30.00 hourly
We're looking for a motivated Transportation Training Coordinator to help develop and support a high-performing team committed to safety, efficiency, and exceptional guest service. In this role, you'll partner with leadership to deliver engaging training, evaluate performance, and support daily operations across all shifts. You'll play a key part in fostering a collaborative culture of hospitality, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
What you will do as a Transportation Training Coordinator:
  • Develop, coordinate and deliver training programs for all transportation, including safety protocols, guests service standards and efficiency metrics.
  • Ensure all team members are compliant with regulations, Turning Stone Resort policies and safety procedures.
  • Works closely with the supervisors and manager of the Transportation Department to develop continuous training programs.
  • Conducts regular driver evaluations, by monitoring and conducts refresher training to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Maintains detailed records on all customer service training programs and submits written proficiency and progress reports to the Transportation Manager, documenting in detail all training undertaken for the department.
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of transportations services and conveys pertinent information to team members regarding policy or scheduling changes.
  • Conducts specialized customer service training with transportation personnel who need improvement in specific areas.
  • Works closely with leadership to identify training needs and opportunities for team development as new training is offered.
  • Is consistently visible to staff and proactively assists in coordination of transportation for events. Also communicates effectively what groups or events are going on so team members are aware of increased demand.
  • Works a rotating schedule to accommodate training classes amongst all 3 shifts and is a team player assisting as needed to ensure guest transportation needs are met.
  • Monitors Bus Drivers, bus patterns and timing to ensure efficiency. Also offers sound suggestions for improvements in the operational flow.
  • Fosters a culture of hospitality, safety and professionalism within the transportation team.

Work Experience
To be successful as a Transportation Training Supervisor you'll need:
  • Minimum two-year degree in relevant field of study.
  • Must possess NYS CDL B (or higher) with passenger (P) endorsement.
  • Must have at least 5 years CDL (Class B or higher) driving experience in passenger endorsement capacity.
  • Previous training experience is required.
  • Knowledge of DOT standards is required.
  • Demonstrates strong oral and written communication and presentation skills. Demonstrates the ability to speak in front of a large group and discuss a variety of topics and issues.
  • Demonstrates strong organization, evaluation, assessment, and decision-making skills.
  • Microsoft Office skills including PowerPoint, Word and Excel required.
  • A self-directed, positive, adaptable and flexible team player is desired.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the application of adult learning principles in training delivery and creating training programs and materials.
