Job Summary:

The VP, Product/Clinical Training & Sales Effectiveness serves as the executive architect of Masimo's global commercial education strategy. This leader is accountable for building a world-class, data-driven training organization that accelerates time-to-productivity, increases commercial win rates, and directly contributes to revenue growth. The role owns the full learning ecosystem - from sales new hire onboarding and clinical credentialing to advanced sales methodology programs - and leads a team of training professionals in delivering measurable outcomes at scale. The VP partners closely with senior commercial and clinical leadership to align training investments with Masimo's product pipeline, go-to-market strategy, and long-term business objectives.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Define Global Sales and Clinical Professional Education's scope and deliverables to support the company's business objectives.
  • Design and develop product/clinical curriculum and programs that drive successful accomplishment of the company's goals and commercial business objectives.
  • Improve the impact of the Sales Effectiveness team through setting and communicating team objectives to support company goals, overseeing daily activities, and providing guidance and support.
  • Partner with Marketing, Engineering, and other appropriate departments to develop training programs and materials that enhance sales effectiveness.
  • Lead the continuous enhancement and update of Sales New Hire Onboarding initiatives and ongoing training to incorporate new Masimo products and services, utilizing feedback received from all stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with VP, Commercial Effectiveness and Enablement in overseeing all training-related event management.
  • Direct the needs assessment for training and staff development, consulting with leadership, to design and develop new and necessary training programs.
  • Own and manage the department budget for global commercial training programs; allocate resources to maximize ROI and present quarterly program impact and spend reports to executive leadership.
  • Establish, track, and report on KPIs for training effectiveness - including time-to-productivity, sales readiness scores, win rate improvement, onboarding completion rates, and adoption of new tools and methodologies - using data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead the evaluation, selection, and ongoing optimization of the learning technology ecosystem (LMS, LXP, content authoring, sales readiness platforms) to scale program delivery globally and improve learner experience.
  • Build, develop, and retain a high-performing team of training professionals; set clear goals and performance expectations, provide ongoing coaching and development, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and own a multi-year Global Commercial Education roadmap aligned to Masimo's product pipeline, commercial growth targets, and go-to-market strategy; present roadmap and progress to senior leadership on a regular cadence.
  • Partner with Regulatory Affairs and Clinical teams to ensure all product and clinical training content meets applicable FDA and medical device regulatory requirements; maintain compliance documentation as required.
  • Perform other duties and projects assigned.

Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience:ย 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10+ years' experience in facilitating Sales Education, Training and Development programs for clinical products.
  • 8+ years in a people leadership role managing a team of training or enablement professionals, with demonstrated ability to develop direct reports and build organizational capability.
  • Demonstrated experience owning and managing department budgets and making resource allocation decisions to maximize program impact and ROI.
  • Experience with enterprise learning management systems (LMS) or learning experience platforms (LXP) and modern sales readiness technologies (e.g., Highspot, Seismic, Allego, MindTickle, or equivalent).
  • Experience designing and delivering training programs in a global or multi-market commercial environment preferred; working knowledge of regulatory considerations affecting clinical and product training content in the medical device industry (FDA, MDR, or equivalent).
  • Proven ability to build and present business cases, program ROI analyses, and training effectiveness data to senior or executive leadership.
  • High-level proficiency with technology-based communication, presentation, and content development tools.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing and focusing on critical deliverables.
  • Ability to interact with others in a professional and productive manner while utilizing effective communication skills.
  • Ability to travel approximately 25%-50%.
  • Proven ability to build and present business cases, program ROI analyses, and training effectiveness data to senior or executive leadership.
  • Experience designing and delivering training programs in a global or multi-market commercial environment preferred; working knowledge of regulatory considerations affecting clinical and product training content in the medical device industry (FDA, MDR, or equivalent).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in training and development with an in-depth knowledge of training design and development principles.
  • Certification in sales performance (ex. Wilson Learning, Dale Carnegie, Challenger Sales) with knowledge of different sales methodologies (ex. consultative, Challenger, etc.).
  • Leadership experience in a training organization.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education, Training, Marketing, Communications, or related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience. MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this position is $250,000 - $305,000 plus benefits. Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, and experience. This position also qualifies for up to 30% annual bonus based on Company, department, and individual performance.ย

Physical requirements/Work Environmentย 

This position primarily works in an office environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing and walking.ย  Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required.ย  May stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings or walking in the facilities.ย  Some local travel is necessary, so the ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid Driver's license is required.ย
