Job description

The Solution Development Lead is responsible for the evaluation of new and renewal services representing all services Dematic has to offer including Resident Maintenance in which they will develop costing focused on the customer's Dematic solution(s) and needs. Pertinent information will be documented and provided in support of preparing successful and accurate proposals. They will work with all departments of Dematic to develop safe, low risk, creative and competitive solutions to meet a client's needs. Where appropriate, they will lead the proposal team in its efforts and present the results to Dematic Sales and possibly to the potential customer. After contract award, they will be expected to facilitate the transition of the project to the operations team.We offer:

Tasks and Qualifications:What You Will Do In This Role:
  • Work on medium to large-sized individual projects, integrating complex hardware and software builds.
  • Analyze customers' business requirements and application objectives to develop application builds that meet their needs and ensure uptime guarantees.
  • Understand customer operations and Dematic products to determine the necessary staffing levels for success.
  • Bundle service offerings that perfectly complement our new business system solutions.
  • Generate costing workbooks for assigned opportunities and services.
  • Develop and detail the data needed to generate proposal documents, ensuring accuracy in collaboration with the proposal team.
  • Assist in developing new proposal content for new services.
  • Monitor assignment schedules and partner with sales to address missing information for assignment completion.
  • Maintain Dematic proposal boilerplates as assigned.
  • Respond to semi-complex inquiries related to the iProposal tool, including build, functionality, and usage.
  • Initiate reviews with operation collaborators on costing methodologies and adjust as needed.
  • Coordinate meetings with Sales and Operations to discuss renewals outside standard costs and document agreements.
  • Prioritize tasks and work with key collaborators to ensure assignments are accurate and completed on time.
  • Conduct training sessions on estimating standards, sales proposal standards, and more for the Business Development department.
  • Perform complex technical interchange and knowledge transfer for both processes and product applications to system build.
  • Maintain flexibility to work remotely as needed based on business demands.
What We Are Looking For:
  • BS/BA in related field or advanced degree.
  • 5-8 years of proven experience in a related field. An advanced degree or equivalent experience may be substituted where applicable.
  • Ability to lead, direct, motivate, and coordinate activities of a proposal team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities with various deadlines simultaneously.
  • Reliably forecast and report on proposal status.
