Job description

 Location: Oak Canyon (Irvine, CA)

Contract: 18 Months

Function: Technical Training / Manufacturing Operations


This role's primary responsibility is coordinating [RR2.1]and executing the New Hire Orientation (NHO) program at the Oak Canyon site, ensuring a consistent, engaging, and compliant onboarding experience for manufacturing personnel. The individual will partner cross-functionally to support onboarding, On-the-Job Training (OJT), and qualification activities, enabling new hires to become productive, compliant, and confident in their roles. This position plays a critical role in supporting production ramp-up efforts by ensuring training readiness, coordination of onboarding logistics, and alignment with quality and regulatory expectations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

New Hire Orientation (NHO) Program Management
       Maintenance & delivery of the Oak Canyon New Hire Orientation program (planning, scheduling, facilitation support, and continuous improvement).
       Coordinate presenters, materials, and logistics to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.
       Maintain and continuously improve program structure, content flow, and learner engagement.
       Track attendance, feedback, and program effectiveness metrics; implement improvements as needed.
       Coordinate and schedule training sessions, workshops, and meetings.
       Create, update, and maintain professional training presentations.
       Send and manage calendar invitations via email or other scheduling platforms.
       Support trainers and subject matter experts by addressing administrative and logistical requirements related to training delivery.
On-the-Job Training (OJT) Support
       Partner with manufacturing, quality, and process owners to support OJT deployment and execution.
       Coordinate handoff from orientation to production floor to ensure continuity of training.
       Track OJT progress, trainer availability, and qualification status.
       Support documentation and traceability of OJT training records in alignment with QMS requirements if needed..
       Help identify gaps in OJT readiness and escalate risks impacting production or compliance
Training Coordination & Compliance
       Ensure training assignments are accurate and maintained in the Learning Management System (LMS).
       Support training workflows related to document changes, onboarding, and role-based training requirements.
       Maintain training documentation to ensure audit readiness and compliance with regulatory standards.
       Generate and monitor training metrics (completion, qualification, onboarding effectiveness).
Cross-Functional Collaboration
       Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, HR, and Engineering to align onboarding and training needs.
       Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and trainers to ensure content accuracy and delivery readiness.
       Support ramp-up initiatives by aligning onboarding schedules with hiring plans.
Continuous Improvement & Support
       Gather feedback from new hires, trainers, and stakeholders to improve onboarding and OJT processes.
       Identify opportunities to improve training efficiency, scalability, and learner experience.
       Attend tiered meetings, and participate in CI related initiatives as needed.
       Support additional training-related projects and initiatives as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Required
       Bachelor's degree in Training & Development, Education, Quality, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
       2+ years of experience in a regulated manufacturing or quality environment.
       Experience supporting and facilitating onboarding, training coordination, or OJT programs.
       Strong organizational and coordination skills in a fast-paced environment.
       Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred
       Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and training documentation processes
       Knowledge of GMP, ISO, or regulatory training environments
       Experience supporting manufacturing ramp-up or high-volume onboarding
