As a Regional Product Development Manager (RPDM), you will act as a single point of contact for our Matting Solutions Region for strategic/key accounts within the Trade area, District or Regions. You will act as the Matting Solutions liaison with national account managers, government account managers, strategic account managers, and sales representatives from all Company business units.

You will be a technical resource for Matting Solutions applications, providing training and project support to our sales team and customers for new and existing product lines and services, while educating other Company business units on Matting solutions. In this key role, you will drive profitable revenue for the company within all Regions through lead sharing and trade area cooperation. In addition, your strategic vision will guide our growth and drive your career achievement.

What you'll do: Key Account Single Point of Contact Target and focus on the development of Matting services and solutions Target and focus on the development of "Key Account" relationships for UR Matting Solutions Division. Work with local sales representatives and all business unit branches in assigned trade area(s) or Region to drive incremental revenue for these accounts Work closely with strategic account managers, government account managers, national account managers and local sales representatives, to provide their larger customers Matting products, services and technical expertise Manage Matting Solutions Division new projects and related fleet Assist in limiting underutilized assets through sales and marketing training and redistribution of equipment Oversee specialty fleet movements between branches/districts Develop and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers/suppliers of Matting products and services Develop and conduct Matting product application training programs for sales representatives, with a focus on safety and production Develop and conduct repair & maintenance training programs for designated branches Provide engineering and design support for large, complex technical projects Use Sales Force Automation (SFA) and other tools to provide business intelligence to sales team Work closely with corporate sales/business intelligence, provide leads to sales representatives using SFDC, Dodge, PEC and other information tools Assist sales representatives in selecting the proper equipment to provide the customer with the most cost effective solution Other duties assigned as needed Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of experience and education Minimum 7 years of technical sales experience in the Matting product/services line or related experience 3 years of sales supervisory experience, with ability to effectively train, motivate and influence all levels of the sales/management organization Firm working knowledge of existing products and methods used in support of industry projects and how they are used in the rental market Strong knowledge and understanding of all new Matting products and technologies being developed and implemented in the marketplace or trade area, and the opportunities available for Matting market expansion in the rental industry Proficiency with MS Office (specifically Word, and Excel) Strong sales/sales management and customer service skills Understanding of business accounting principles and budget preparation; business acumen Engineering/mechanical aptitude: Ability to properly size, quote, install and maintain large projects Proficiency with SFDC, Dodge, PEC or other CRM software Possesses the following additional competencies: leadership, strategic thinking, trade area cooperation and teamwork skills This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals' policies and procedures.
