Job description

Gastroenterologist Full-Time Opportunity

GV (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center Jackson, MS

The GV (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi, is seeking a dedicated Gastroenterologist to join our team. This full-time position offers a competitive salary and is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), providing up to $200,000 in student loan reimbursement for qualified candidates.

Position Highlights:

  • Completing inpatient and outpatient consults, review/disposition of clinical and care in the community consults, GI clinics to potentially include telehealth clinics, and performing all general GI endoscopic procedures and EUS/ERCP if trained/proficient in these advanced procedures
  • The incumbent will also supervise trainees/fellows who are rotating on the GI service to include inpatient consults, consult review, outpatient clinics, and procedures
  • Competitive salary and full federal benefits package
  • Tour of duty (schedule): to be determined
  • Salary range: $250,000 - $400,000

Basic Requirements:

  • Board-certified/board-eligible
  • Unrestricted U.S. medical license
  • Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
