Job description

Respiratory Therapy Assistant

Provides technical support, including maintaining respiratory care and pulmonary function equipment and supplies, as well as administrative and clerical support for department functioning.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  1. Perform equipment processing, clerical, and administrative support tasks as assigned. Maintain records as required to meet departmental, organizational, and regulatory standards.
  2. Maintains supply and equipment inventory. Review par levels and order inventory supplies in the quantities needed.
  3. Performs routine maintenance and quality control activities on respiratory care equipment and arterial blood gas machines.
  4. Disassembles, assembles, decontaminates, and disinfects respiratory therapy equipment according to manufacturers and departmental standards.
  5. Uses established department procedures to record and process loaner/rental equipment.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Respiratory Therapy Student at an Accredited College or University

There is a reasonable expectation that employees in this position will be exposed to blood-borne pathogens.

Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Pay Range $20 — $40 USD
