Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments with patients, carefully analyzing their mental health status through interviews and standardized assessment tools.
  • Formulate individualized treatment plans that outline therapeutic goals and interventions tailored to each client's unique needs.
  • Facilitate ongoing therapy sessions, utilizing various evidence-based modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to empower clients in overcoming their challenges.
  • Monitor client progress and adapt treatment approaches as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Provide referrals to external healthcare providers, including psychiatrists, for additional support when needed.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The mental health counseling services you provide will target a diverse clientele with an array of conditions, including anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, eating disorders, and trauma-related issues. You will engage with adults and adolescents from various cultural backgrounds, underscoring the importance of cultural competence in delivering personalized care.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
  • A valid and active license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Oregon.
  • A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience, demonstrating a strong foundation in therapy practices.
  • Comprehensive understanding of mental health disorders and contemporary evidence-based treatment methodologies.
  • Proven ability to provide both individual and group therapy with a focus on culturally responsive practices.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in crisis intervention and proven skills in maintaining calm during high-stress situations.
  • Familiarity with EHR systems and proficiency in managing documentation for client encounters.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve better patient outcomes.
