Role: MySQL/Linux DBA Location: Sunnyvale, CA Duration: 12+ Months Job Description: Skills & Experience & Summary:
  • Looking for a DBA who will be working on a team that manages the operational and development pieces for the environment for database and production work for Client.
  • This is for ongoing/operations production support of Apple applications.
  • There are ebbs/flows in amount of work, at times it is very hectic with very little structure.
  • Candidates will need to be flexible and willing to jump into whatever is needed and adjust to new project goals/deliverables on the fly.
  • They will need to balance multiple projects, assignments, and launches simultaneously within a fast- paced, ever-changing work environment.
Need to have experience with: • Production DBA - 5+ years o Tune databases running in production. • Linux • MySQL (MySQL is running on Linux boxes in a production environment, candidates need to know Linux command lines to get job done). • MongoDB (used in a multi-datacenter environment) • Cassandra • Experience interfacing/working with database developers would be helpful - development skills are not needed, but would be a plus. • Strong communication/collaboration skills.
