has a client that is seeking a Microsoft Active Directory Engineer in Dallas, TX.

Position Summary: We are seeking a Microsoft Engineer to support and maintain enterprise infrastructure environments. This role is responsible for troubleshooting incidents, managing assigned tickets, supporting critical systems, and ensuring high levels of service availability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide infrastructure and application support in a production environment
  • Troubleshoot server, virtualization, and end-user issues
  • Manage incidents, service requests, and change activities through resolution
  • Support Microsoft technologies, virtualization platforms, and enterprise systems
  • Participate in on-call rotations as needed
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Collaborate with engineering, networking, and operations teams
  • Support platform enhancements, upgrades, and system maintenance
  • Contribute to process improvements and operational best practices

  • Expertise with VMware vSphere, PowerCLI, and/or vSphere SDKs
  • Expertise with VMware Horizon
  • Expertise in VDI Management
  • Expertise with block level and file level storage protocols, SAN switching, and enterprise storage arrays and replication technologies
  • Technical understanding of Azure Entra ID and Portal
  • Technical understanding of Entra ID Connect
  • Technical understanding of PKI

Required Skills : * Bachelor s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience * Microsoft certification(s) preferred * 3 years of Microsoft infrastructure engineering experience * Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment * Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving experience in production environments * Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure and operations * Strong customer service and communication skills * Strong documentation and organizational skills * Commitment to continuous learning and professional development * Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders * Ability to work independently and collaboratively Core Technical Requirements: * Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and Windows Server * VMware vSphere and VMware Horizon * Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) * Enterprise storage, backup, and virtualization technologies * Network troubleshooting and TCP/IP fundamentals * Experience supporting both Windows and Linux environments Preferred Technical Experience: * Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) * Entra Connect and hybrid identity solutions * Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) * SQL Server administration * Software-defined networking and storage solutions * Enterprise backup and disaster recovery platforms * Experience with VMware NSX, vSAN, SRM, Nutanix, Cisco UCS, or similar technologies Ideal Candidate: The successful candidate will bring deep Microsoft infrastructure expertise, a strong operational mindset, and experience supporting enterprise-scale environments. They should be comfortable owning issues from start to finish while delivering reliable, high-quality support to internal and external stakeholders.
