Job description

The Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist provides fundamental technical support by assisting the physician with patient preparation, intra and post-interventional/surgical procedures, management of supplies and devices, cardiac and physiologic patient monitoring and assisting with direct patient care. Responsible for assisting the physician with safe and effective operation of radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment as well as specialized imaging and technical equipment used for procedures. Is a patient/family educator, advocate and liaison.Estimated pay range for this position is $40.71 - $56.99 / hour depending on experience.Degrees:
  • Associates.
Licenses & Certifications:
  • Basic Life Support.
  • CCI Certified Cardiographic Technician.
  • CCI Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist.
  • CCI Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist.
Additional Qualifications:
  • Associate of Science required.
  • May substitute 3 years of total experience in lieu of Associate degree.
  • Cardiovascular or Cardiopulmonary Technologist (CVT) from an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology or a graduate of a diploma, associate, or baccalaureate academic program in health science (includes, but not limited to, cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, or nursing).
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • RCIS or RCES certification required.
  • Completion of at least 18 CEUs annually.
  • ***(12 CEUs must be CV related) Academic courses relevant to the profession taken through a regionally accredited university or college can count for 16 CE credits for each academic semester credit or 12 CE credits for each academic quarter credit.
Minimum Required Experience: 2 Years
