To thrive as a Trainee Game Developer, a solid grasp of programming languages such as C# or C++, a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, and familiarity with game design fundamentals are typically required. Experience with game engines like Unity or Unreal Engine, and knowledge of version control systems such as Git, are commonly expected; certifications or self-initiated projects can be an advantage.
