Job Title: Crew Lead Trainee - Crossbore 

Location: Seattle, WA

Compensation: $24 - $28 per hour, depending on experience

Position Summary

As a Crew Lead Trainee Crossbore Technician, you will assist in the setup, operation, and maintenance of CCTV cameras and related equipment. This hands-on role offers valuable experience in technology and community safety initiatives. You'll work closely with technicians and leadership, gaining skills that can lead to future advancement. Hydromax USA Vaccination Requirement

This position requires compliance with Hydromax USA’s vaccination safety program due to potential exposure-related health risks. New hires must either provide documentation of previously completed required vaccinations or complete the required vaccinations within the first 30 days of employment.

Required vaccinations include: Hepatitis B, Hepatitis A, and TDAP/Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Acellular Pertussis).

Regional & Work Environment Considerations 

This role involves working along busy streets, highways, and residential roads, often in high-traffic areas. Crews must follow strict safety protocols and be aware of roadside hazards. Some sites may include embankments, uneven terrain, or wet conditions. Expect outdoor challenges and changing weather conditions. This means adapting to high heat, humidity, sudden storms, and cold temperatures.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Detect cross bored wastewater lines and collect field data through utilizing ESRI GPS software during inspections
  • Establish a safe work zone including positioning safety items such as traffic cones and signs
  • Prepare the CCTV Robot and equipment under the direction of the Operator while cleaning and maintaining equipment
  • Dispatch the tractor unit securely into the pipe utilizing a crane or hook
  • Mark locations on the job site with utility marking paint

Job Qualifications and Skills:

  • Ability to pass a thorough background check and pre-employment drug screen required as a condition of employment. 
  • Must be able to walk on various terrain, work in various type of weather conditions and work in confined spaces, bend, squat and lift/carry up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to travel 2 to 3 weeks at a time as needed, work weekends and work some nights. Travel could be upwards of 80% of the time based on project locations.
  • Ability to possess or obtain Confined Space Training certifications.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work outdoors whiles using ATV equipment.  Some of our jobs require us to go off-roading.
  • Understand, speak, read, and write English.
  • Employees may be assigned additional duties, responsibilities, projects, work locations, or tasks based on operational and business needs.

Driver Qualifications:

Because all field personnel may be required to operate company or DOT-regulated vehicles at any time, maintaining driver eligibility is mandatory. A valid driver’s license and obtaining a medical clearance to drive DOT-regulated vehicles (DOT Medical Certification) is considered an essential function of employment in field operations. Employees must obtain this medical certification within 90 days of hire and maintain it as a condition of continued employment. Failure to obtain or maintain driver eligibility or medical clearance may affect employment status and/or eligibility for certain job assignments, unless given a Human Resources accommodation. 

Pay: 

  • $24 - $28 per hour, depending on experience
