Management Trainee - Car Wash

Status: Full-Time

Compensation: $18 - $21 plus commission & bonuses

WashU Car Wash is a modern express car wash company focused on delivering a fast, high-quality, and environmentally responsible car wash experience. Founded in 2017 in Plainfield, Illinois, WashU uses advanced technology and water-recycling systems to help conserve resources while still providing a superior clean. With multiple locations and a focus on innovation and customer experience, WashU is committed to making vehicle care quick, convenient, and sustainable.

About the Role:

Our mission is to be our communities' preferred car wash brand by obsessively pursuing excellence in all things. As a Management Trainee, you will act as the Assistant Manager of a site, helping lead daily operations, develop leadership skills, and gain hands-on experience in all aspects of the business. This role is designed to prepare you for a General Manager position within 6-12 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support daily site operations, including staffing, scheduling, and workflow management
  • Lead, coach, and develop team members to drive performance and engagement
  • Deliver and uphold exceptional customer service standards and resolve issues as needed
  • Drive sales through memberships, local partnerships, and community engagement
  • Monitor site performance, including sales, expenses, and operational efficiency
  • Ensure equipment functionality, facility cleanliness, and safety compliance
  • Assist with hiring, training, and building a high-performing team

Key Requirements:

  • Strong leadership potential with a desire to grow into a General Manager role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Customer-focused with a problem-solving mindset
  • Reliable, punctual, and flexible to work weekends and holidays as needed
