Job description

Position Summary:

The Equipment Operator III Construction Services operates a variety of power construction equipment within New England states and assists utility construction crew in performing their assigned duties.

Hiring Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of previous related experience and education.
  • Can be qualified by an approved and competent company Operator on at least three pieces of equipment from the following (one piece per bullet):
  • Telehandler/Compact Truck Loader/Front-End, Loader
  • Dozer/Grader
  • Backhoe, or <32k lbs. Excavator and all attachments.
  • Intermediate GPS Capability.
  • Intermediate drawing interpretation.
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Must have or be able to obtain (company-provided training) and maintain gas utility installation and services/constructionrelated industry Operator Qualifications (OQs).
  • OSHA10 Certification (company-supported if not current), DOT Medical Card (assistance provided), valid MA Hoisting license 2A 1C, valid U.S. driver's license, successful drug screen, background check, and motor vehicle record (MVR) review per federal/state regulations.
