Job description

Position Description
The position will provide outpatient psychological services and testing within in a clinical setting. Psychological interventions will include; but not limited to, diagnostic interviewing, individual and group therapy, couples and family therapy, psychological consultation, crisis intervention and psychological testing and assessment. Will participate in outreach and educational programs throughout campus and the community and participate in research projects under the supervision of a licensed psychologist.
Major/Essential Functions
  • Other Departmental Responsibilities: Actively participate in other departmental activities including, but not limited to, staff meetings, other departmental committees, and position search committees. Ensure participation in activities and that standards are met
  • Clinical Supervision of Trainees: Provide clinical supervision and other training-related activities to graduate practicum students. Ensure that supervision requirements and standards are met
  • Other Clinical Responsibilities: Complete all clinical documentation in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with departmental policies & procedures. Ensure documentation is submitted in a timely and correct manner.
  • Clinical Services: Provide individual, group, and couples therapy in an ethical and effective manner. Ensure therapy is provided in an ethical, timely and effective manner
  • Outreach Programming to Campus Community: Actively participate in departmental outreach efforts, including fostering effective working relationships with campus liaisons and providing consultation services to university faculty and staff. Ensure participation in campus and community outreach programs
  • Clinical Services: Conduct intake interviews in a timely and efficient manner. Ensure interviews are conducted in and ethical, effective and efficient manner
  • Clinical Services: Selects and administers various psychological tests and reviews results of tests to evaluate client needs. Ensure services conducted in an ethical, effective and efficient manner
  • Other duties as assigned by Site Training Director.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
  • Oversee the recruitment and training of project team members as necessary
  • Remains current with all licensure, certifications and mandatory compliances and trainings required of this position.
  • Adhere to all TTUHSCEP policies, procedures and processes.
  • Personally demonstrate, display, and act in accordance with TTUHSCEP's values (Service, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Advancement, and Teamwork). Actively promote and encourage staff across the institution.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Completed all of the coursework for their Ph.D. program and passed all of their required comprehensive exams.
  • Three semesters of practicum experience at the doctoral level.
  • Thorough knowledge of the application and evaluation of counseling techniques.
  • Ability to conceptualize and prioritize goals and objectives.
  • Ability to relate to people from all walks of life and communicate effectively with them.

Pay Statement
Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as, the institutional pay plan. For additional information, please reference the institutional pay plan on the Human Resources webpage.

Required Qualifications
  • PhD or PsyD in clinical or counseling psychology from an American Psychological Association approved program
