Job description

Major/Essential Functions
  • Conduct evaluative interviews with applicants to Foster School of Medicine virtually. In accordance with instructions from Associate Academic Dean, Senior Director, and Director.
  • Complete a comprehensive evaluation of each applicant's academic and professional qualifications based on the competencies established by Foster School of Medicine. In accordance with instructions from Associate Academic Dean, Senior Director, and Director.
  • Submit evaluation assessments into the Application Management System (AMP) promptly after interviews, no later than 3:15 PM each interview date. In accordance with instructions from Associate Academic Dean, Senior Director, and Director.
  • Screen and evaluate medical school applications with 100% accuracy and in compliance with TMDSAS and institutional requirements and deadlines. Ten applications must be screened daily.
  • Remains current with all licensure, certifications and mandatory compliances and trainings required of this position.
  • Adhere to all policies, procedures and practices (Regents Rules, TTUS, HSECEP OPs, etc.).
  • Personally, and consistently, demonstrate, display and act in accordance with Texas Tech Health El Paso's Values (Service, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Advancement, and Teamwork). Serve as a Value's leader while actively promoting and encouraging staff across the institution.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree is required or higher is required.
  • Work experience in medical field, higher education, personal coaching/professional development preferred.
  • Experience in admissions/recruiting required is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and written skills.
  • Proficient in using technology.
  • Ability to interview weekly on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons via zoom during the period of July through January.
  • Access to a personal computer, and reliable, secure, high speed internet.
  • A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
